Affordable highlighters can be a struggle to find. Yes, you could go and buy hundreds of drugstore highlights, but most will have very fake shimmer, and look really fake and powdery on your skin. I have found highlighters that are under £5 from Beauty Spin, that are just as good as some of my high end highlighters. These are really good, and seriously worth the purchase.

Before I get into this, I want to mention that this is a collab with one of my closest friends, not only on the internet but in 'real life'! Her name is Caitlyn, and she is a YouTuber. She is amazingly talented, and is such a good singer/songwriter. She is doing a cover of the new Castro song 'Diamond Dreams', so you should definetly check her out and make sure to subscribe to her channel! Make sure to comment that you came from here too!

What I am talking about is the *Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighters. I was scrolling through Beauty Spin, and these instantly caught my eye! They are only £4.90 on Beauty Spin

I could not wait to try this out, because I had heard a lot of good things about it. I wanted to find out for myself if it was worth the hype, or not. When it arrived, I give it a try. Oh my goodness. I instantly became obsessed with it.
It gave my skin such a natural glow. I got the shades Golden Lights and Peach Lights. There is another shade available, but those two were really the only ones that caught my attention.
Left "Golden Lights" Right "Peach Lights"
To be honest I thought, when I first swatched them, I wasn't going to like them. They felt very powdery and not creamy. I thought that it was going to look very powdery and fake on my skin. I tried it on my face anyway, and I can assure you now, this product is amazing. It did not look like I was even wearing a powder highlight, it looked like a cream!
It went on very smoothly, and didn't go cakey or look too dry on my skin.

If your looking for a much more intense highlight, then the Golden Lights is for you, if you want a slightly less intense shade, the Peach Lights would be perfect for you. Or if you are as big of a makeup fan as me, then buy both!

I tried every possible way of applying this product, to find the best way to use it, and get the best looking highlight possible. I find that it is intense enough without using any sort of setting spray, but when you use a setting spray, your highlight will be seen from the moon! It makes it GLOW. Which is nice for a dramatic look, but I much prefer it when I don't use setting spray. I just use a tapered brush (Blank Canvas F15) and sweep it over the tops of my cheekbones, tip and bridge of my nose, above my brows, lightly on the chin, and in the inner corners of my eyes. (If there is a place on my face I can highlight, it will be highlighted)

It stays on beautifully too! It does not go patchy, or wear off, but stays looking really pretty and fresh all day long. I do think that if you are rubbing or touching your face a lot (which you shouldn't do as it causes acne), this can kind of sheer out. But it is easily retouched with a simple sweep.

I love this product. I think it is definitely worth the money, and I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to find an amazing highlighter on a budget.
