Artis Brush Dupes / Are They Any Good?

5:00 PM

I am sure if you love Instagram tutorials, YouTube tutorials, and just makeup in general, you would have heard of the whole oval brush trend. Artis brushes have been blowing up in the makeup world, however, they are crazy expensive. I don't think I would be able to justify paying that crazy amount of money, for a set of brushes that I have never played around with before. So, I thought that I would order some oval brushes, to try out for myself. These were around £15 on Amazon, so I thought that even if I didn't like them, I wouldn't have spent over £300.

These are by a brand called Neverland Health and Beauty. Never heard of them before, but thought I would give them a go anyway. They do them in a bunch of different colours, white, black, black and gold, but I got the black and rose gold, because I preferred those! They came really fast, and they came in a nice package. The delivery was also free.

These are so soft. I was not expecting them to be so soft, for some reason. They are also very dense. All of them, even the smaller detail brushes are still very dense. Which means that most of the smaller ones can't be used for eye makeup as they wouldn't blend things out very well because they are so dense. However, the density makes them all perfect for full coverage base makeup.

They come in a wide range of sizes ( they come in a 10 pc set ).  From very small, very thin, to very big. This means that you have a brush for everything ( excluding eye shadow, as I have already mentioned ). Foundation, concealer, powder, contour, highlight
brows and even liner. The small round brush also works great for the lips. So you do get great value for your money.

They are so quick and easy to use. You could seriously do a whole makeup routine in under 20 minutes with these, because they are so big and dense, it makes it perfect for quick and easy application, and because of the size range, they can really give you a good coverage, and fit into all the hard to get spots of face.

I always wash brushes before I use them, to make sure they are super clean and theres no oil or bacteria on them. Some brushes are a nightmare to wash, usually the more affordable brushes are the hardest, but these were actually not that bad. They weren't a complete breeze to wash, but they were a lot easier than I was expecting them to be!

All in all, I love these. Would I purchase the more expensive set? Maybe, if I still love these in a few months time, I may try a few brushes from Artis, or even MAC, but I am going to continue to use these ones for a while, because they are actually really good!

  2. I'm always on the look out for dupes and these sound amazing. There is no way I could fork out the money for the real set so these sound like a great alternative. Great find! x
